About

A black and white drawing of a jackalope wearing glasses, and wearing a shirt and pants. He has his hands in his pockets, and is smiling. Hi! I'm Mordecai. I'm a disabled queer Filipino teenager living in the American Southwest, and I made this website as a place to showcase my art, comics, zines, writing, and fiber arts-related things. If you'd like to contact me, you can do so at mordecai.alba@gmail.com. If you send me any offers to improve my analytics, you are immediately getting blocked.

You are more than welcome to print out, trade, repost, etc. any zines published as images on this site (as in, not others that I might be selling), as long as you keep credit intact. You are also allowed to repost my shortform comics with written permission. You are not welcome to resell or sell my work in any capacity, or use it in a commercial context. Additionally, you may not repost or use any other art on this site. Do not feed my work to artificial intelligence or create non-fungible tokens using it. Please reach out if you have any questions!

This site is coded by me using online sources like W3schools. I haven't taken a web design class in a couple of years, so I'm not great at it. If anything looks off, or if anything is inaccessible in any way, please let me know! I am unable to describe comics and zines in full, partially because I don't want screenreader users to be bombarded with text when they open a page, and partially because I am just one person. If you are interested in the description of a specific comic or zine, please please reach out! I'm still trying to figure out how to make a toggle for a dyslexic-friendly font on here, but OpenDyslexic has a browser extension for Chrome you can use, and their font is free to use. If you have ADHD, you may want to check out extensions like Bionic Reader to help with text online, too.

Also, this is hosted by Neocities! I recommend checking out the community on there and learning HTML and CSS yourself. It's a super useful skill to have and a really cool way to get creative.

If you're interested in commissioning me for anything, feel free to reach out! Due to my disabilities, I take a pretty long time with crochet commissions, so I cannot work on deadline with fiber art and need to be able to work off of a pattern. Art-wise, I won't draw pornography or extreme gore, but I'll draw furries, horror themes, humans, and pretty much most other things. I'm also open to art trades.

You can link to my site using this button:

A pixel art button of a brown rabbit with glasses that says 'Mordecai Alba' in green letters.

If you don't know how to link using an image, you can do it like this! Feel free to set it as big or small as you want :) I have the width set here to 15% of the screen width, as it appears on this page, but you can of course change this yourself too. Please do NOT remove the alt text.

<a href="https://mordecaialba.com">
<img src="https://mordecaialba.com/button.png" width="15%" alt="A pixel art button of a brown rabbit with glasses that says 'Mordecai Alba' in green letters."> </a>

You are very welcome to email me your buttons or sites, or write them in my guestbook, and ask me to check them out! I might link back to your site as well :D

Other Projects

I'm currently working on getting better at posting on my YouTube channel.

You should totally read my webcomic! It's called Nuclear Bones and it's about a girl named Camille, growing up online and anxious in the early 2000s. There are cool cats that grow extra eyes. You can read it here!

My best friend Xalli and I co-created a Tumblr-based archive of zines by youth. You can find it at this link!

My friend Isla has a website on here too! You can find it at this link.

As a likely long COVID sufferer, this site is so important!

Socials

I try (and fail) to stay off of social media as much as possible. I do use a few sites fairly regularly and don't dislike the way I use them, such as Storygraph. You're welcome to shoot me an email if you want to connect on other platforms too.
